Alison Streit Baron

Manager of Operations and Resources

Alison has twenty-five years of experience working for justice, equity and peace in the nonprofit sector. She has served as Congregational Administrator at the Winchester Unitarian Society, Assistant Director at the Boston Theological Interreligious Consortium, Director of Religious Education at First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church, and Manager of Training and Evaluation at Public Conversations Project (now Essential Partners). She has facilitated intergroup dialogue and communication workshops in faith communities, on college campuses, and for advocacy organizations.  She earned degrees in sociology from Wesleyan University (B.A.) and the University of California, Santa Barbara (M.A.), where she studied social movements and social change, and she has post-graduate Certificate in Conflict Resolution from Lesley University.  She grew up in New York City and lives in Central New Jersey with her family.
